Why would they notice a difference? Aside from one being a fictional parody, the style of governance is similar...

Kidding aside, every State in the CONUS should have sent some troopers. Kudos to the States who did and even more to the cops doing the hard work in an unfamiliar beat.

29 from the Illinois State Police. Newspaper reported 25 Troops but they got the number wrong (no surprise). Total of 50 LEOs from Illinois.

Six Springfield police officers are among a group of 50 Illinois law enforcement officers who will spend a week helping New Jersey residents recover from Superstorm Sandy.
Deputy Chief Cliff Buscher of the Springfield Police Department said the officers will be leaving Saturday morning from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Operations Center, 2200 S. Dirksen Parkway.
While in New Jersey, the officers will assist local authorities with patrol work and site security.
The Springfield officers are driving four marked squad cars to New Jersey. Twenty-five Illinois State Police troopers are part of the contingent.

And ain't it a good thing. Americans stepping up to help our own. Glad to see our current administration didn't ask the UN to offer up assistance...

Isn't this a pre-planned phased emergency response program?
