Yeah, they aren't cheap. I have a 52 and it has worked 100% so far. For a lot less $ you can get a Pmag extension that will work just as well, or better.

They're bigger, that's about the only thing I can come up with.

They are very well made and reliable. But, since Nordic is making reliable extensions for the Pmag, there really is no reason to spend that much for a Tripp, unless you just like spending money, or want to support the company. I have one, but won't shell out for another one.

Then don't. I hope you don't think I'm trying to talk you into it. Get the Pmag extension from Nordic and you'll be happy.

Money and quality sometimes mean the difference between serious, professional shooters and guys like me.

I think this is one of those cases.

(Although when it came time to buy 1911 mag's for my competition pistol, I went straight to Virgil Tripp in Alpine, Texas.)

They hold more than 30 rounds *and* they work.

    I have a 42 and a 52. Money well spent.

My go to 30-40 round mags are old Sterlings and they arent cheap now days either.

The Nordic extensions are also top notch.

They're made to hold a lot of rounds, and to work reliably. It doesn't really matter if you're in a game or not, although that's what mine is for.

Yea your right on the money. A friend of mine has a 52 rounder that he paid a lot for. At the time he got it Tripp was pretty much the only game for reliable high cap AR mags (more than 30). Now we have P Mag extensions from Nordic and the Lancer 48 round mags. Both work great and cost a lot less. I see no reason to get the Tripp mag anymore.

This mag coupler from Nordic cost only 25 bucks at www.brownells.com

Above from left to right. 35 round russian mag (works) 48 round lancer mag, 2 48 round Pmags.

CMMG 42 round mag. good value and works at only 30 bucks each.
