I will be driving from Ohio to Chicago for one night. I know I can't carry in Chicago, but is it legal to keep my gun in my hotel room overnight?

    Thanks for your help.
  2. Not if your hotel room is in Chicago.

Chicago probably is the worst place for gun owners. EVERY kind of gun is pretty much banned there. Unless you have a badge with you, I wouldn't even think about bringing it. Heck, with Komrade Daley and his socialists in power, I'm not even sure that having a badge :wow: with you is even an asset there. I wonder if there is a Daley gulag :crying: of some sort somewhere out in Lake Michigan about which we haven't been told??? You bring it and you might just "disappear"... if you know what I mean...

    Don't do it!!!!!!

OTOH I have to take my daughter to a specialist just N of the city next week, that means I have to drive all the way through Chicago almost 2 hours one way......
  5. I'd leave the gun at home and get some Mace for the trip ...Good luck

I thought mace was also illegal within the city limits?....Just one of the reasons I moved out of the city limits....:steamed:
  7. It probably is but, I’d rather be caught with mace …..I gotta check into this
