Just curious but are there any permits that you need to bring the gun to the gunsmith?

one may have his/her PTT but doesn't that only cover transport from home to gunclub? Just wondering if you are caught in transit to the gunsmith, which is not in the general are as covered by your PTT..

If the gunsmith is located at your gunclub same PTT. If on the same route to your gunclub, maybe. If not, technically you'll need a different PTT.

  3. You will need a Permit to Transport for non-gunclub members which you can readily get from FED. This is a one time permit issued for a specific date only but they may grant you a 3-5 day permit if you request for it.

But Casmot is right. If the route to your gunsmith is within the specified route in your PTT, no problemo. If not, you need another PTT for non-gun club member.
