I have one more pound of Clays that I have been using for target /games in 45 Auto. I am going to switch to a slower powder and read somewhere that IMR Trail Boss makes a pretty good load for the 45 Auto. I ran a search on GT and found a few posts where some folks seemed to like this powder, but I didn't find any specific load info.

Am interested in shooting lead - 200 SWC and 230 RN. Can you get enough of a load to make major PF??

    Thanks,

    Jim

It's not much slower if any, it just fills the case better. Really, give WST a try. It is slower than Clays, same bulk/volumn & a little bit wider load range. Tremendous powder in the 45acp.
