    Man I am more impressed with their video transmitter than anything. Neat video though. Wonder what altitude it finally reached?

    No video transmitter is used. You send up your camera with a GPS and a parachute rigged up. As the balloon rises it expands due to the decreased pressure. Eventually it pops and the parachute deploys and takes everything back down safely. Some guys also use gliders to slow the descent or just build a reinforced case that can take the fall. You track it on the GPS and pick it up when it lands(often 100+ miles away). Its actually not that difficult to do and you can reach insane altitudes, 80,000ft-100,000ft. Theres lots of videos on youtube of people doing it
