I have a 27 and ordered a 26 today. For me it was about ammo availability and price. The 33 would be an excellent choice though.

i have a 33, among others. but actually prefer their mid size guns (so for .357 sig, the g32, which they call 'compact') for carry. a little more capacity and can get my whole hand on the gun. really isn't that much bigger or heavier.

    I have a G27 with G33 barrel and mags.
Plus a Storm Lake 40-9 barrel and G26 mags.

Either the G27 or G33 will give you a lot more options than a G26.
Especially if you're not sure what caliber you really want.

BTW My Storm Lake G27 40-9mm blasted flawlessly through 200 Speer GDHP 124 +Ps.
And, in my hands, was more accurate, had less recoil and ejected better than OEM 40!

    It's my new carry gun!

    It's a "NO BRAINER"....Go with the G33 and you'll have more horse-power (125gr. @ 1350fps), than the 9mm, .40cal or the .45cal can deliver....Let the bad guys get a dose of that!!!!!

In Florida carry permits are issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

I think they all three have the same frames?
All three have nearly identical dimensions I believe?

The big difference to me is that G27/33 are nearly identical except for barrel and mags.
Can swap parts. And with a third party conversion barrel (and G26 mags) shoot 9mm.

With a G26 you're locked in to 9mm unless you want to change a bunch of stuff.

I have a G27 with barrels and mags to shoot 9mm/357 Sig and 40!
Now I'm going to have a shoot off and see if I favor one over the others.

I bought 2 G26's today, one for me, one for my son. He'll be 21 this summer and this will go along with the new CCW permit he'll be getting. I've been carrying for over 25 years as a cop, now working in a uniform and equipment business. Mine will be my daily carry in the shop.

My first carry piece was a G26. I had to put finger extensions on it to shoot it well. It was a very nice carry. I eventually sold it and bought a G23. Two more rounds and more punch for the extra four ounces. The handles of the two guns are very similar from a "hide it" point of view. I also got an LWD 40-9 conversion barrel and an LWD 357 Sig barrel. It shoots all three very well, now that the gun is broken in. But I carry it with the stock barrel. Just in case I'm an SD defendant for whatever reason. I hope this never happens.
