  6. did it to myself, unloaded of course. couldn't see crap for 5 mins.

  7. you'll like it guns, gauranteed. and to me it makes good sense. all that giving away your position is bs. we're not operators on a mission. you're in your home, and personally, i want to know what or who i'm about to kill, er, shoot. sometimes i think hollywood has blinded certian folks.

I have a TLR-1 (non-strobe type) on my G19, and it works very well. One thing I should mention is that the light sticks out past the end of the muzzle, and after you shoot the gun with the light on it, the part of the light directly under the muzzle (the bezel?) will get coated with lead. It does not affect the performance of the light, but it makes it look kind of goofy. I removed the lead with #0000 steel wool.

I read somewhere online that you can prevent this by wrapping the bezel with electrical tape. I haven't shot it with the light on it since, so I don't know how electrical tape stands up against 9mm muzzle blast. In retrospect, I'm kind of thinking that I should just take the tape off and not worry about how my light looks.

YES!!!! All the other added on stuff is just stuff to me . I like the TLR-1 and wish our dept went to them . We use the streamlights . But I use the TLR-1 for my home gun and I think it is best ! It is on my CZSP-01 and is an awesome workhorse .

HI. Just orderd it, cant wait to get it, i want to thank all of you for you input. every one have a safe and nice night.

  14. Sorry I am late on this, I have 3 TLR-2's same as the TLR-1 but with the laser. Great lights however you may feel that the TLR-1 will be a little large for the G19 compared to the TLR-3, however much more powerful. I run mine on G22, G21sf, shotguns and AR.

You won't regret your purchase. My TLR-1 has been flawless through about 2k rounds of 9mm.
