They are our employees. Every so many years we vote to keep or fire them. It's a frustratingly slow process but allows our government to change according to "The Peoples'" will. Almost like a living organism. The ability to change gives it the ability to survive. That's how I see it. If enough people vote against incumbents, they're fired!
Ballots used to indicate who was the incumbent. Some years ago the incumbents realised that wasn't always helpful, so now we just get a bunch of names. Slimy bastards!
The U.S.Government has been corrupted forever.Politicians should only be able to serve no more than three terms in the Congress and Senate.Any more time then three terms,they are sure to become corrupted. My opinion!!!!
^ what Nursetim said. If you only throw out the politicians and leave the rest of the corrupt structure in place it will be back as it was in no time. Drain the entire swamp... or flush that toilet.
