I think you nailed it. I have my 3rd CZ on the way, a CZ 75B Single Action, and since I won't be able to benefit from the SP01's 18 round mags until I move to Texas next year, I think I'll go with the Hi Power. Thanks to everyone for the great replies.

Since I am in NJ(with 10 round mags for full size 9mm Glocks), the first ones to go might be the 17C, 17L and 34. I think I will be keeping the 19 and 24.

I've got a Glock 19, and a CZ SP01. I've thought of selling the CZ because I rarely shoot either one, they both shoot about the same in my hands, Glocks have more avalible for them, and I could get more $$$ for the CZ.

Check on gunbroker. A seller has used Belgium BHP for around $400-$450. I would go for a BHP or CZ75.

I had a Sig 225 last year, great gun, but it wasn't for me.

    What is your budget?

The SP01 is a little heavier on the front end of the weapon due to the full length dustcover that allows for tactical lights, and etc.

I like the feel of the CZ 75B because it has a better balance for me.

If price is not an option would look at the CZ 75 Shadow, they are about $1000.00 and are a nice pistol.

The standard CZ 75 B can be upgraded with a trigger job, from CZ custom, or Cajun Gun Works.

I own both Glocks and CZ and both are great pistols. You can't go wrong with either.

Well, I cant speak for a hi power, but for the price of a hi power you can get a cz75 and have quite a bit of custom work done on it.

    Not if you buy used.

I picked up my(wifes) Hi-Power for $500 OTD and it is basically in new condition.

I love how this turned into a BHPr/CZ thread! ;)

+1 on the BHP! You simply can't go wrong.

I am not a big fan of the SP01's, but I love the plain old' 75's.

I love the BHP but I can't stand to look at the "Made in Belgium Assembled in Portugal" roll mark. Nothing against the country and frankly I prefer if it just said "Made in Portugal".

    I'm in a buying mood.

In all seriousness, if and when you get ready to ditch the 34, I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands. For a fair price, of course.

Get the CZ hands down going away. I have a CZ Customs 85 Combat that is the best handgun that I have ever fired. The 01 is a tremendous pistol. I like a BHP and am taking nothing away from it but you are comparing that good pistol to maybe the best production pistol on the face of the earth. Get the CZ and if you can get it customized by CZ Customs or buy it that way!

BHP #1 and CZ#2 like both but face it that BHP is just classic(and looks great and shoots great to boot!) and YES id sell off a Glock or any other gun I had that bothered me to shoot...Glocks grips and the way they sit in my hand also bugged my thumb(top/highest up joint/knuckle on the thumb near the webbing of your hand) as when the gun sat naturally the backstrap where it comes up and curves back always seemed to fall on top of that knuckle and the recoil would kill it....and ONLY GLOCKS do that to me lol! All other guns sit just as they are supposed to...so sell those glocks get a BHP!!!!!!!!!

I am really glad to know that I am not the only one to have this problem with Glocks. I am definitely getting a BHP.

I can see for a BHP, had two of them. In fact traded one towards my first Glock, a 19.

But considering I have less than no interest in owning a CZ, I wouldn't trade a Glock for one.

At the moment, my 85 Combat is the best gun in my collection, and that's without trigger work. With my 3rd CZ on the way(waiting for stupid NJ purchase permit), I will be going with Hi Power for some variety.
