Ok, the discussion in the Xmas thread got me wanting to start a thread...

Background: I turned 21 in July, and have just recently started trying different brews. I never drank a lick of alcohol until I was of age. I find great fascination with how beer is brewed, and what the end result is. I enjoy beer for the flavor, not to get drunk at a college party like so many of my uh..."friends."

So, I don't drink that often, but when I do, I always like trying new things. Personally, while I haven't tried too many beers yet, I find myself liking Irish Red Ale and English Brown Ale the most. I've tried a few traditional domestics and no thanks...I'm a craft beer drinker!

Also, I would like everyone to list their top 1 or 2 favorite beers. Also, please post a picture if you can!

So far, my #1 pick is BJ's Brewhouse Jeremiah Red:

I like dark beers with lots of flavor. Mostly drink Great Lakes Brewery varieties... Eliot Ness being my favorite. Sam Adams Boston Lager, Summer Ale, and Octoberfest for mass brewed stuff. Bud American Ale if I am going on the cheap or none of the good stuff is available.

If you are ever in Cleveland...visit GLB.

If you are ever in Richmond, VA....go to Capital Ale House. 82 draft lines and over 400 beers from around the world stocked.....and a kick ass ice strip that runs the length of the bar to keep your brew nice and cold.

Guinness, Murphy's, Boddington's, Newcastle. Stuff like that.

I like beers from the British Isles best.

If you like small brewhouses check out Fat Heads in both North Olmsted-Cleveland & Pittsburghs North shore. They brew a bunch of good beers.

I like beer a lot, but more than that I like bourbon.

Woodford Reserve and Knob Creek are my favorite.
