So I recently got a used p238 two tone that I thought was a pretty nice setup. I have a sweet spot for .380's.

Well I just wasn't connecting with it so it now has a new home. Managed to trade it for a p239 .40 today with a bunch of goodies...my favorite of which are the Crimson Trace grips.

Gonna get me a .357 sig barrel and new fresh night sights. Here is a quick snap...the internals are spotless.

    I think I did well.

Good score. You can't go wrong with a Sig.

(Even if it's chambered for .380!) :tongueout:

Seriously, that's a nice gun. The 239 is one of my favorites!

    Congratulations!

I still think the p232 is a sexy gun. Those and Beretta 84's always get my attention just for extra range toys.

I do like the 232. I was really surprised at how concealable it is despite it's awkward shape! (Awkward in a good way that is.)

I haven't had the pleasure to shoot a Beretta 84 yet.

The p230/232 in SS is about as sexy as guns get.

The 84 and 85 platform is also a joy. If you ever find one for a good deal jump on it. Even if it's not for cc. Classy little shooters.

I'd say that you got the better end of the deal on this one. Nice catch! I've just recently received a brand-new P239/357.

Barth told me about this special, and I got it in the mailbox yesterday:

    http://www.topgunsupply.com/sig-p239-357-8rd-magazine-extended-capacity.html

Thought I'd pass that along to you, since you were looking at adding a .357SIG barrel for yours.

Here's mine, and I'm hoping to try out some CTC grips on it soon:

Thanks for the link! From what I've read, the .40 mags will work for .357, but not the other way around since the .357 are narrower in the nose.

The CT feels really good but I just tossed on the factory grips and I'm thinking of just selling off the CT grips to fund a .357 barrel or some new night sights and some wood grips.

Still torn, but I've never used lasers on any of my other setups and I'm not sure I'll use them.

I mainly went for the trade as I felt I was getting a good deal on a very good platform. The p239 has some pretty nice features in itself, all the extras that I got with it just really sealed the deal.

I'm quite happy. Sure it's not as easy to conceal as the p238...but I couldn't pull off pocket carry with the p238 so I'm not really that much worse off.

Now I just need to decide on grip options.

    G10, wood, smooth, checkered...

If you ever decide to sell your CT grips, please send me a PM as I have been poking around the net here and there for a used set at a decent price.
