Thanks for all of your help guys, I guess what I'm wanting just doesn't exist. I'm going to stick with the Glocks for now, although the LGS had a Sig P220 that is very nice, I didn't like the feel of it in my hands.
Well, maybe someday someone will offer what I want, or I'll have the funds to go custom.
    Again, Thanks guys...

    Perfect 1911?

    Too many factors.

    Cost
    Use
    Carry
    Range
    Home defense
    Professional use
    Collector wants/needs

The list goes on forever, for me, the perfect 1911 is well beyond $1K

For me, the one under my armpit during the day and under the pillow at night. A Colt Commander.

My "perfect" M1911 would be a Gold Cup in .38 Super. Maybe in a bright polished nickel finish or at least bright polished stainless steel.

Sort of the way I feel about it, but I have donea lot of my own work on 1911s so I can get by on a smaller budget than most.

Now if the RIA 10mm proves up, it just may be the basis for my "last" (snicker, Yah, the wife will believe that) 1911build up.
