Some buy nothing.
Some buy some stuff.
Some buy all stuff.
Depends on the department.
Yea post some pictures of the Kimber please! I heard they are not worth the money. True?
Guilty here, I have a sprint Blackberry on my belt. It's in my locker at work so I dont have any pics.
Left to right:
GG Leather belt
GG Double mag pouch
GG OC Pouch (Freeze +P)
Surefire & holster
GG Cuff Case (Peerless Hinged)
GG Cuff Case (Peerless Chain)
Safariland Triple Retention (H&K USP .45ACP)
All issued with the exception of the hinged peerless cuffs and the surefire. Looks cramped, but it all fits together fine when it goes on.
I love the Kimber. There are a lot of people that don't like the series II firing pin safety, but that's fine...more guns for me.
I'll grab some pics of the kimber when my camera's batteries are recharged.
As far as buying stuff goes...I was issued some and bought some when I started. All the stuff I was issued was sub-par crap, so I replaced it all. Now the only thing that isn't mine is the radio (and the holder on my leather belt, but the one on the nylon is mine)
I'll take some tomorrow with my new Sig P226 DAK and my new crappy Accumold holster they gave me after ripping my 6280 out of my hands.
At least I got to keep the HK
Wow thats a old radio. I'll post pics of mine tomorrow.
Free and clear, or did they make you buy it?
Whoever told you that is a retard. And the've never met the love of my life...Kimber-ly She's long and slender, always ready to rock and roll, works out like a champ, stays nice and clean, and she's easy to see at night. A real "Spitfire" too (Like, 2 foot ball of fire actually). I carry mine all the time, on and off duty. I love it, there is nothing else I'd rather carry.
I had a Kimber Custom II and was in love with that thing. Was almost in tears when I had to sell it. Valley Firearms has GREAT prices on them.
Thank god cuz i think they are the sweetest looking 1911´s arround. So pics please
Our dept supplies the equipment that the officer is certified to use such as TASER, ASP, OC, etc.
I personally buy all of my duty equipment except for radio, TASER and in-car video body mic. I will post a pic later of my rig.
As I always say when people give me crap about all of my stuff, It's better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it....
This is my setup.
It was NIB when it was issued to me in 2004. I have 800-1000 180 grain Speer Lawman and GDHPs through it..
I gave them $397.25 for it with three mags, Trijicon nite sites, and a bianchi leather off duty paddle holster.
Yes, $397 for a USP.
I'd have paid that without thinking about it.
I can't be out of money! I've still got checks in my checkbook!
I didn't pay for it, my credit card company did! Suckers!
So by the time you pay it off, your $397 gun will be about $1412.82
