I found another accurate load for my Glock 20 SF; probably my best load so far.

    25 Yards
    25 Rounds
    155 Grain Truncated Ranier Plated
    6.6 Grains of Unique

What is your 10 mm accuracy load?

9.3 grains with 180 grain bullet is super accurate in my 20.

I hear people say they like AA #7 for 10mm, but I have yet to try some.

I went three about three pounds of Unique this year and I've had good luck with it on 9mm, 10mm and .45ACP. It doesn't meter all that great, so I weigh it frequently. Since I'm really looking for accurate loads, I can't tell you about loading up for speed.

I do hear people say that Power Pistol is a powder to be careful of once you are near maximum pressure as overdoing it can be dangerous. I have had the same experience with hot loads of Blue Dot. Temperature changes can make a Blue Dot load behave radically different.

I fired 400 rounds of power pistol 10 gr max load behind 165gr Golden Sabers last weekend.1.255 OAL 350 CCI LPM new starline nickle brass.1335 fps avg no pressure signs out of G20sf and 29sf with oem barrels. I had 15 loaded with 10.2 gr 5 had slight smiles but they were smaller than smiles I have had with DT 165 GS. I find PP to be a great powder. The only negative is the flash but less than 800x and cleaner burning.

I never do any bench rest shooting, so it's hard for me to TRULY assess a given load's accuracy. If I'm not doing my part, it's gonna be crap. However, I have still managed to find several loads that are noticeably accurate. Here are mine:

    180gr Magnus FMJ-TC or XTP
    10.4gr Blue Dot
    CCI 300
    COAL 1.260"
    Great warm target load!

    155gr XTP
    12.0gr Blue Dot
    CCI 300
    COAL 1.260"
Quite possibly the most accurate load I've shot.

    180gr Magnus FMJ-TC or XTP
    5.5gr, 6.0gr, 6.5gr, 7.0gr Unique
    CCI 300
    COAL 1.260"
I've found all of these Unique loads to be exceptionally accurate, especially the 6.0gr and 6.5gr loads. They are nice target loads. 7.0gr is a great warm target load, and probably the one I shoot the most. 5.5gr is nice as a light target load.

When I first loaded up some Unique in 10mm, I shot a 5 shot string, and the FIRST thing I said when I was done was, "Wow, these are accurate". Unique is a GREAT powder. It's all I use for .45ACP, and is quite possibly the best plinking powder for 10mm. I haven't shot a Unique load that I didn't like. Plus, it somehow ALWAYS manages to cycle the slide. No matter how low I go with it, both in .45ACP and 10mm, it always allows perfect function. Even the 5.5gr load with a 23lb spring in my G29 was flawless.

LOVED this one! I'm going to try Unique next. We should take these to the Helena range and use the bench rests there one day.

Definitely! I keep forgetting it's there. I really do want to do some good accuracy testing.

Any medium to warm strength load of Blue Dot under a 180 grain XTP will group extremely well in my G20.

I like it for 155 - 180 grains. It is really clean and nice to work with. It will not drive as fast as its slower-burning sibling, no.9, but it consumes less powder. It is a nice trade off for loads up to medim-hot. It is not my favorite for groups, but acceptable. I use a lot of it these days.

Actually, my most accurate load so far is a 180gr XTP over 10.9gr AA7. Stout and very accurate. Gets about 1250fps from a 6" tube and a bit less for a 5" 1911.

    Thanks.

I finally worked up some 155 grain AA7 loads for the 10mm. They were luke warm and relatively accurate. I used Remington Hollow Points and XTPs. They're tucked away in the gun locker in case there is a SHTF moment.

Other than that, I just loaded up 500 rounds of my 155 Grain Raniers with Unique for a little target practice.

Mine is another vote for 10.4 grains of Blue Dot with 175-180 grain bullets...for target play. My cast Lyman 175 gr TCBB & cast Lyman Devastator 156 gr HP's make for a fun time without breaking the budget.

Hunting load is 10.5 grains of Blue Dot under the Hornady 200gr XTP seated to 1.260", CCI 300 @ 1200 fps from the S&W1006 5".

Blue Dot and Unique are two powders that I just can't quit using.

    They're both accurate and versatile.

I've had really good results using AA#5. Loads aren't "hot" but their not too bad, mid range maybe.
