I PMed a fellow GTer yesterday and used a malapropism. He wrote back to be certain I had done it deliberately and I replied I was having a Norm Crosby moment. Fellow GTer remarked that the reference to Norm showed my age.

Speaking of showing your age, minutes later I was channel surfing and caught a scene from Mel Brook's History of the World, Part I featuring Charlie Callas. I hadn't seen or thought of him in forever so I Dogpiled his name (I don't google) to catch up on old times.

First I found this video. If you're unacquainted with his work, I can't think of a more fitting introduction.

One of the other Dogpile hits sent me to his homepage. It seems that Captain Weird is alive and well.

They say the difference between comedians and comics is that a comedian says funny things but a comic says things funny. This man is a master comic in the truest sense of the word.
