Anyone been to The Firing Line in Pearl River, NY? Someone mentioned it to me as an alternate place to go shooting. Just wondered how the experience was.

    TIA

I've been there... 10 minutes from me.

I was not impressed. I walked in to the store with no customers and no one bothered to say "Hi" or "Can I help you ?". There was 2 relatively young person manning the store. They looked barely out of high school and still dressed like they went to high school. When I finally asked them questions, they seemed uninterested and offered minimal help.

I heard that the owner is no longer actively participating. (0r at least not as much) His son is running the store on daily basis and that maybe the problem.

I'm one to support local business, so I'd really like to use them. But I just didn't feel welcome nor have the warm and fuzzies to use them.

EDIT : Sorry posted without noting how old the thread was.
