The owner(s) of the jewelry found to be in Trayvon Martin's possession in school may have been found. There was a break in near TM's school and TM was caught by a school police officer in possession of women's jewelry and a large flat head screw driver that the officer called a "burglary tool". The school PD never found a victim, but a blogger may have.

I bet many of you never heard about the school incident on the mainstream media's broadcasts.

If the obama had a son he would have burglary tools and a ski mask.

If the kid was white, no one would ever have heard of the story. The whole thing is a joke. The reason this kid got media attention is the same reason obama got elected twice. Idiots.

Maybe if the police there had done their jobs instead of covering up crime to make it "look like" they were doing their jobs, Martin would be alive today instead of taking a permanent dirt nap.

But, the chief got his low crime stats. Bureaucratic win, until he got in trouble for it.

Hmmm He sounds more like a burglar and less like an angel.

These incident did not happen in the same jurisdictions, if fact they were hundreds of miles apart.

Sounds more like a case of social policy. When parents can't raise their own children right, how far do you want LE to discipline?

Here, obviously the schools are filled with kids whose family have failed to teach them to be good citizens, so the social policy became one of to discipline the many bad kids with "school discipline," or with "police discipline."

The decision was made to go with "school discipline." I guess images of 10, 12, 14 y.o.s being brought out of schools in handcuffs (ie "police discipline") would be unappetizing.

I know plenty of GTs have rallied against the police when the police put handcuffs on young teens in the past. Communities reap what they sow.

Maybe there should be a third policy: Require parents to be parents!

Seems like pursuing felony burglary charges against a burglar may be an appropriate distance for LE to go as far as discipline is concerned.

Or maybe cut this off at the pass by requiring parents be parents.

cz, were you raised by good parents?

    Are you a parent?

Are you now a person in need of police discipline? Do your kid(s) (if you have any) in need of police discipline?

OK, so you're for "police discipline." Cool!

Did they even have enough evidence to bring burglary charges against Trayvon at the time?

I ask because they apparently didn't have a victim yet.

Things are looking better and better every day for Zimmerman. I still say he walks - as he should. Then he should sue everybody connected with this farce.

And also, maybe he really was just holding the jewelry for a friend, as he claimed. And sometimes, a screwdriver really is... just a screwdriver. (Unless you have proof otherwise, like pry marks fitting the screwdriver!)

How can you file felony burglary charges with no victim?

How does this information have anything to do with the shooting?
