been a few times before and was at one last sat. evening
was hungry for a steak so that is what pushed us into the place , but i will tell you i may not be back for a while
they offer several steaks and prices seemed to have risen somewhat.
they must "season " their steaks and i dont really care for what they are rubbing on them ! AND what is with the baked potato being rolled in salt on the skin ?? !
PLUS they place is so noisy ! .... dont need that with a meal.
there was an o'charley's right next door and we have ALWAYS got great steaks there
one lives and learns and thinking back a ways , i put it all together and and realized WHY the road house hadnt gotten my hard earned $ for a while !

i like them. not a huge steak eater, but i really like their country fried steak with the bloomin onion(or whatever they call it there, i think its only called that at outback.) I am not a steak officionado(sp?) so i am sure someone will be along to tell me that its a low quality cut and im cheap for liking it blah blah blah...but what can I say, I really enjoy it, even though i do try to limit myself on mixing red meats with fried foods. Not really a dieter...just dont like taking twice my recomended daily calories in one sitting :embarassed:

Texas road house is one of the best steak joints around IMO. I love to get their Ribeye, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Hah, I just had their country fried steak for dinner last night. Delicious and about the same diameter as a tractor- trailer tire.

It is the only place my wife and I go when we are hungry for steak. I love the food however we usually go at an off time as I refuse to wait an hour for a seat.

There's really nothing "Texas" about Texas Roadhouse IMO. I have had exactly one decent steak at the chain and that was in Nashville of all places. You want a real steak, there's plenty of places in Texas to eat one if you ever make it there.

The local one here has call-ahead seating....never had to wait more than 5 minutes.

I think the call ahead seating is only if there is currently a wait, and if the party is 8 or more. Or is that just Longhorns?

Either way, I found out that all chain restaurants are rubbish and the food at any of them is barely edible.

Unless the chain restaurant is White Castle, then the food is delectable.

It's a chain, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, not Texas. The chain operates about 320 (July 2009) locations in 46 states. So, what do you expect?

Good food, but too noisey. Can't hear across the table.

    Nasty food.

I also don't like how they shut down a small hole in the wall beer joint that had been outside San Antonio a lot longer then they had been around...due to a similar name.
