I have had mine since January 1997.
I'll be doing my first renewal this year. I thought about getting mine for years just to feel ok about having a gun in my car for nooner range trips but put it off until a lady I work with told me she was carrying without a license. I signed up for the course and took the phone number to her and asked her to go with me which she did. I never felt the need to carry until I took the course and heard what the policeman and others had to say. I carry anytime its legal and allowed now.
Had mine since it became legal. If I remember correctly that was in 95 or 96....
Don't rightly know. I have aobut a year on my renewal. It has benn a bit of time but have friends that have carried before it was OK.
Just took the class saturday, mailing off all my paperwork tomorrow morning
Since I've been 21.
Since the first year when we could get them.
April 2002. Just mailed off my 1st renewal about 15 days ago.
since September 2005
1996 the 1st time, then moved to Alabama and had it there, then moved to Louisiana and had it there, then back to the Great Nation of Texas and have had it as soon as I was here for the obligatory 6 months.
My wife and I both got our CHLs the first year they became available.
I just went online and did the renewal. $70 and now I am waiting for my packet to get here. My current license does not expire for another 6 months, but I don't want any "lapse" in my current CHL.
almost 1 year got mine in March 2006
The first year it was legal
Same here...I turned 21 while the law was taking effect. What a beautiful thing.
1996 I beleive. Qualified first time with my Springfield 1911, Glock since then.
I also dislike the renewal class, but the instructor I go to tries his best to make it painless for the renewal classes.
