I am thinking about getting one of these in 22mag for varmint hunting. Are they good varmint guns? Accurate?

Nobody has one huh? The older model is the Marlin 925.

I have the 22TR which is the tubular magazine variant, it isn't magnum but it is accurate and works well for squirrels.

You might try the Marlin Forum, rimfire section. They have a few posts there. I have a black XT magazine fed model I bought at WalMart but only fired about 100 rounds through it so far. I have tired eyes but can keep all my rounds on a paper plate at 100 yards. It does have an adjustable trigger which some people seem to question.
