Finally got around to assessing the damage on my Tele, which nearly floated out of the house last September (floodwaters hit the 6 foot mark inside the living room). The machine head is only mildly rusted, but the nut is broken at one end. The neck doesn't seem warped. The bridge is a mess, as you can see. The pots are stiff (probably corroded to heck), and the selector switch has lost its head. I'm not even sure the pickups work: tried plugging it into an amp a few hours ago and it's definitely dead as a whole. Actually, I haven't even tried a field-strip, so the body cavities could be full of dried mud for all I know --I hosed her down in September, but that was it. The whole wire harness could be toast. So, anyway... In case I decide to throw in the towel, DIY-wise, does anyone know where I can have an expert try to fix her (in Metro Manila)? She's been with me since '79 (albeit with many parts replaced since), and I don't feel like buying a new guitar, although prices seem a lot more affordable than when I first bought her (and maybe more affordable than having this old girl fixed, lol !!) Thanks for any leads, h.
