I was reading the below news story on Ted Nugent's recent comments about what would happen to him if Obama is reelected. Since I don't know an awful lot about the man I looked him up on Wikipedia (link also below if you're interested) and found out he and I share many of the same values and interests. Even though he gets over-the-top carried away in expressing his political opinions, I really like the guy. He's a man who speaks his mind without with much concern what others may think of him. I respect that in a person.

What do you think, is Ted Nugent too fanatical when he expresses his opinions to the media and an embarrassment to the republican party and conservatives, or is he running on all 12 cylinders in what he says in public and how he says it and is an asset to the party?

As far as celebrity goes, I can't stand most, but Ted is on the top of people I like, even if I don't always agree with him. Love the way he has the balls to say his piece.

Ted is okay with me. A little on the loud side, and his patriotism is kind of cartoonish, but I think he loves his country for the right reasons.

Yeah, on this one he screwed up and went too far. After looking at some of his statements, I like his message but it's how it comes out of his mouth that I think makes him look like a gun fanatic.

I forgive Ted for his this gaffe. He is known to eat only wild venison and wild hog. Them meat have too many natural animal testosterone making him wacky at times. You are good to go , Ted.

gilfo, he did not threaten the president, he simply stated that the man currently sitting in the chair (NOT MY PRESIDENT) needs to be eliminated.. ER, I mean removed from said chair. I strongly support any statement Ted has made towards that man presently sitting in the chair, that should NEVER have been allowed to sit in said chair. No threat here, just waiting for the next election when we can sweep this disaster under the rug and get on with forgetting about this Big Azz Mistake.

    This.

Funny, if McCain/Palin had won and some thug rapper said the same sort of thing I doubt the support here for the speaker would be the same.

3 kids out of wedlock, a taste for adolescent girls, a student deferment during the Vietnam War where, instead of studying he was on the road with his band, poaching, canned hunts, a slighty better than average guitar player whose only real talent is promoting himself...

    ...let's hope so.
