Tactical solutions Shrouded barrel

Discussion in 'Free Fire Zone' started by southGA, Aug 9, 2010.

  1. I noticed on the TacSol website they sell a 10/22 barrel that is 12" but has a shroud that brings the overall length to 16". This would be nice to have as it would keep the overall length of the barrel down when the suppressor is on inside the shroud. They also state that with the shroud bringing overall length to 16" no stamp is needed.

My question is, can I take a barrel and have it cut down and add a permanent shroud as they did? I don't see where there would be any difference. What do you guys think?
  2. Yes you can have a short section of rifled barrel with welded on silencer or fake silencer or any other type of extension.

Or for $200 more in tax you could have a cool gun.
