That looks,.....well, Angry! Very nice!
Finished my tactical shotgun build today. Its got the Blackhawk stock, Tac Star side saddle, and a Trijicon reflex 6.5 MOA red dot.
The 19" barrel, or the mags? I was surprised at how well the vertical grip worked, as I never used one before. Almost willing to go stock-less. Shoots damn good folded up, and a folder is an issue with anything more than one stick mag, without one of them fancy folding mechanisms designed for drums.
Thanks, bud! No one noticed the homemade shell stop
I used a 1" scope ring, a wooden dowel cut at an angle, and a screwed in rubber bumper. It can easily be adjusted to accomodate 3" shells. Recoil can cause shells to fly out of the secondary, so I was told.
I like that heat shield -- kind'a gives it that WWI trench gun feel...
Can you get a better picture of what you did? Lotta black on that gun... lol
After a bit, I will. The reason I did it, was the mag coupler and double baseplate came as a kit from Arredondo, and also came with a metal shell stop. The reciever has to be drilled and tapped for it, and I'm not willing to do that. I also like shooting magnum shells, and the Arredondo shell stop is not adjustable. Either do without magnums, or mount it farther forward, and potentially deal with the top shell coming loose.
I just got this 20 ga. Remington from my LGS for $335. I'm thinking of leaving it stock, but the Knoxx Specops is tempting me.
My 590A1 in 18.5" with added s&j extension to give me 7+1. Yep a +2 tube that does not extend past the barrel.
^^ Where did you get the extension at? What brand? I have a M590A1 just like yours, and an extension might be handy someday.
From S&J out of Canada. They are a little pricy but no one else makes a +2 that fits flush. + it is parkerized and matches the A1 great.

My 14 year old brother shooting a shotgun for the first time:
You can get a +1 extension from Choate. If you use the factory follower it is actually a +2. It will be even with the end of the barrel.
It comes with the extension, spring, an orange follower and a clamp/sling swivel.
Little 870 Super Mag...
...if that isn't good enough for the zombies, the sawed-off 10ga might do.
its still out getting a little bit-o-work done at this point.
Not enough Ithacas in the thread!
LOVE the Ithacas
Ugh! I want that, but for an extra Benjamin, I could cut off 2" of barrel instead..
You know what's really hard to take a good picture of? A black shotgun. I put a light and a shell carrier on my 870, but I'm not really happy with it. I'm thinking of going back to stock. Anyway, here's some pix:
Here is mine;
Mossberg 835 Ultra-Mag Crown Grade
w/ 3 1/2" Chamber.
w/ Parkerized finish.
18" Model 590 Accu-choke barrel which has been bored to accept 3 1/2" shells.
Custom milled receiver end block to accept an AR15 pistol grip and adjustable stock.
I built this before Tactical Shotguns were a big thing. Even before Wilson Combat bought out Scattergun Technologies.
Then I spray painted it...
Now it has become a local custom to test your manhood... can you shoot a 3 1/2 inch Super Mag shell from a pistol gripped shotgun?
Are you brave / foolish enough to try?
At the end of the day this Mossberg 835/590 Hybrid will shoot any 12Ga. shell from 1 1/2" all the way out to a 3 1/2" Super Mags. Right now it has a M1913 Rail mounted on the top with a Red Dot sighted for 2 3/4" Slugs @ about 50 yards. This set-up is great for 00-Buck at close range.
Very cool, Wolf Spyder. Not too many 3-1/2" guns out there. I wonder if it will feed tiny little flashbangs? They're only an inch tall.
Good looking Mossy there. I wouldn't mind having one like it.
Doesn't the Benelli Nova and SuperNova handle 3 1/2 inch shells too?
Those are really nice too.
