No market in the Philippines. Law allows only 22 and shotgun for long arms. Sure they can sell it but it will be under the table and the buyer will have to wait for the amnesty. Vendors will have a hard time bringing it in (legally).

So you went to Costa Mesa?

I thought gun club members could own rifles?

What about pistol caliber carbines submachine guns and rifles, are those banned too?

I've heard that in the states, chinese made sks rifles sell for as low as 150 us dollars. That's cheaper than many handguns!!

Dito sa atin kahit wala na mga russian, yugo or chinese made rifles, these use big powerful rifle ammo anyway.

Kahit puro mga .223 m-16 caliber rifles lang pwede na yun, mas malayo pa nga ang range e, and armscor here produces the .223 round locally, so supply won't be a problem, and the cost would probably be lower too.

Anybody here buddies with the president or the first gentleman? maybe you can get the pres. to sign an eo legalizing pistol caliber carbines and rifles and .223 rifles.:)

It is not against the law for civilians to own Hi-Power(Any caliber with more power than the .22rimfires is considered HiPower) rifles here in the Philippines as as it is embodied in Section 2 of E.O. 194 signed by Pres. Estrada in 2000, however, the approval of licenses applied for such HiPower rifles is so selective by the Chief-PNP in Crame that the misinformation about HiPower rifles being sold and licensed only to men in law enforcement and the military has been generally accepted as true even by the gun dealers themselves.
If not for the constraint in license approvals, there is a good market here for surplus rifles from China, Yugo, Russia considering that a brand new AK47 from China will cost you 40K Php...a surplus AK/SKS/RPK/Dragunov/Simonov/Nagant etc depending on condition would be much lower... some gun dealers sell surplus/used Beretta 92s from Italy at only 19K Php.

Do they consider this as a high powered rifle?

    It uses .224 ammo.

Its not a real rifle. Its a replacement for handguns.

But i guess it wouldn't matter, its too expensive. Though i hope the chinese make copies, that's one sure fire way for the prices to go down.

I'd love to have an easy to control full auto PDW like that.

You must be referring to Yugo SKS and not Chinese. There is a ban on the Chinese made SKS so people will hold on to theirs.

The P90 is a restricted FA because of its fullauto capability. Also the military issued 5.7x28mm cartridge is an AP round, so it's really meant for LEO use only.

It's not considered a high powered rifle, it's a submachine gun which is still illegal for normal gunowners to purchase...

China is still making SKS, www.marstar.ca of Canada still imports them. it was believed by many here in the States CHina exported almost 2-3 million skss into the US market from 1980s to 90s . It is still cheap to get one . I even see them stock high in boxes at gunshows last dec. for $179 plus tax. I was tempted but I already have several.

yup, depending on the condition. naglalaro between 100-150 usd. but it's a good weapon. very accurate and mild recoil lang. i've shot bowling pins from about 200 yards without a scope, 1 or 2 shots lang. yun nga lang super mahal ang ammo...about 22 usd for a box of 20. a dollar each putok, aray

Yung Wolf sa gun show ang pinakamura po, chief.

Siguro kung napunta kayo sa Reno gun show, nakikita niyo binibenta ang dami. Mahal yung Walmart.

Yung commie (Wolf, Barnaul, etc) ammo OK sa SKS.
