    Yeah, I'd recommend "C" class. Then you pick which displacement or age group you should be in... I.E "250C" or "Open C", "30+ C", etc.

    If you can maintain a consistent pace without taking breaks or having any mechanical problems, you'll do well. The bottom half of the "C" class will be hard pressed to finish the race without stopping. Don't be surprised if you're top-20 or even top-10 out of 100+ C racers.

    This will likely be a big race. The AMRA series I compete in usually brings 200+ racers for AZ events. If only half the AZ people show that will be an additional 100 racers.

    It's really a cool feeling to partake in these races. You will do better than you anticipate, and it will likely become an addiction. Then you'll graduate up to the harder classes and regain some modesty. ;)
