Good question. I expect to pay at least $180. I just don't want an inferior scope when I could pay a little more & get a much better quality scope. I have a Leupold II 3-10 on my 7 Rem. Mag. as the 06 will be for closer & smaller game. Out to 200yds.

The Bushnel(baush&lamb)3200 elite can be had for that price.I have one on my 308 and it's excellent glass.I've had it for 3 years and benchrest and hunt with it.Give one a try you'll be surprised at how clear it is. Good luck and good hunting.........

If you want a great little scope and not add much weight to your rifle, try the Leupold I believe it is 2X Compact scope. I have one for my Marlin Guide gun with see thru rings and one on a detachable mount for my 16" AR. Great scope for about $225 I think.
The 2X is all you need for 150 yds. or so.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I went with the Bushnel(baush&lamb)3200 elite because of the "rainguard feature". Last year I had a shot opportunity at a nice 8 pt. buck just before dark. The cold & sleet obstructed (also the fog I kept trying to wipe off) prevented me from taking the shot. I got a matte version for less than $200. including shipping & I like the bulletproof warranty it comes with. Should be here in a few days, rifle is scheduled to arrive today.

I would have also suggested a Leupold, but I've also had (and have friends who've had) good luck with Bausch and Lomb scopes. Good luck and have fun! :)
