About how much does a new one run? My local shop has a used one that seems really high to me.

George has a base KC for just under $2,200 I believe.

Crap, thought you said Kobra Carry. I had him price out a Kobra with the matching specs to my Kobra Carry and it was $2,125 shipped.

    Stainless w/Gen3
    Flush crowned barrel
    Gen3 trigger
    Gen3 bushing
    10-8 rear

That price sounds about right on that GB listing....if it was new. Maybe a little high for a used one.

Depends on how much you trust "...I was told less than 200 rounds".

I'll go take a look at it this weekend. He's a pretty honest guy. If it's like new is it worth $1600?

What comes with a new Brown? Cardboard box? 4 mags? I'm thinking about working up a trade. I saw the gun today and it could pass as new.

If he's willing to come down on the price or work out a trade, jump all over it.

He came down $100 so far but I'm going to take my Sig Blackwater down and see if we can work something out.

He wanted my gun and $1200, not a good deal for me. I did get my VMII in the mail so the day's not a total loss.

That sucks. Now if you had a Sig Xe model, maybe you would have some leverage.
