Just finalized my Shadow purchase today and now I'm in the process of acquiring an I.W.B. Do any of you carry a Shadow, and if so what holster do you use with your EDC.

I was thinking about this holster http://shop.ihlusa.com/product.sc?productId=97&categoryId=3

Any of you have experience with this co.

Congrats! Can't wait to see it. Here's my only STI. A Legacy. One of the smoothest, best shooting 1911's I own. :)

I'll get some shot tomorrow evening and posted ! Plan on cleaning between now and Saturday, then heading to my ranch this weekend to burn 500 rounds thru it.

I believe G27RR carries a Shadow. Not sure what in.

Congrats btw. That's a sweet little gun.

Notice that mine still has the great State Of Texas stamped on the slide.

Yep, the Shadow is my EDC.

Congrats, it's a great gun. I have 2,500+ trouble free rounds through mine and wouldn't trade it for anything. I did have 2 FTF when I let it get overly dirty once (about 500 hundred rounds without cleaning or lube in a single session for reliability testing - no, I don't normally shoot that many through at a time).

I figure if you're going to carry a Texas 1911, you need a Texas holster. I typically carry mine in a Tucker Gunleather Cover Up. It's a tuckable single clip holster. I ordered it rough side out to help it stay in place, which it does perfectly. It's also very quick off and on, which is nice if you sometimes have to visit prohibited places.

I sometimes use Tucker's Texas Heritage model, which has two clips and is also tuckable. I bought it for my Ranger II since it distributes the heavier weight better, but it works fine with the shorter slide, too.

Thanks, learning to disassemble now. Glocks = easy - 1911 = new to me
