STI, Rudy Project and Others Sponsor USPSA Area 6 Shoot SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. The U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 6 Championship sponsored by Glock has picked up nine additional stage sponsors bringing the total number of corporate sponsors for the regional handgun shooting match to 24. MannyUSA, Rudy Project, Schuemann Barrels and Sig Sauer have each signed on as stage sponsors while Brownells, C-More, CPWSA.com, Red Dot Shooting and STI International are supporting the match as co-stage sponsors. The Area 6 Championship will take place at the South River Gun Club ranges in Covington, Ga., April 16 through 18. A record 387 shooters from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, the states that make up the Area 6 region, and 20 other states are expected to attend as well as international shooters from Canada, Colombia and Jamaica. This years match is setting a new record for shooter participation, and with close to 400 shooters, the Area 6 Championship is poised to be this years largest 2010 USPSA match outside of the handgun nationals, said Charles Bond, USPSA Area 6 director. The success weve seen in drawing top-level competition is due in part to the quality of the match structure and course design, but its our strong relationship with our corporate partners, and their generous support, thats helped us get to this record level of shooters.
