We shoot .22 / 9mm / 38sp exclusively and I am looking for a nice quality steel target. Local club allows them in the pistol berms. Leaning towards ActionTarget Evil Roy. Must have something with its own base as there is nothing to hang the plate from. Using it for myself and 10 year old son who shoots a M&P 15-22. Anyone have any other recommendations on a steel target brand? What size plate would be best? Thinking about the 10" plate (or larger) to build confidence for my son. Thanks

Saw some on E-Bay. Some with bases that fall over when hit. Others have a hole in the top and hang, so you don't need reset after you hit them. Good prices, like $50-60 for 6 targets, depending on size. Sizes I saw ranged from about 2" - 12". Different shapes available too. Good luck....jkm

  3. Challenge target from le targets is a cheap option but evil Roy is good too

  4. If you're just using 22 or pistol calibers, a piece of I-beam steel works great and has a nice PING when hit. I've had mine for three years now.
