I had an AR with a chrome lined barrel that fed steel cased ammo just fine. Now, I didn't run thousands through it, so over time, I may have had issues. I have an unlined barreled AR on order and am wondering if it'll have any issues running steel cased ammo. Thanks.

CM or stainless barrels are around 42 Rockwell, harder than steel case ammo but not as much difference as chrome or a Nitro-carburized barrel so the chambers could get scratched up, the rougher they get the more the cases will stick. If you drop the mags in the sand or dirt clean them out before shooting, make sure the cases are free of case lube so grit does not stick to the cases and end up in the chamber.
Many times carbine length gas systems are over-gassed that exaggerates the sticking case problem with steel cased ammo, so if your rifle ejects from 1-3 O'clock you may want to slow it down by adjusting the gas down, 3-4 O'clock is a better ejection angle IMO.
