Hello, new Glocker here from a suburb of Detroit. Come tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a brand new G22. Currently I plan to mainly shoot at my local range not more than 1/2 mile from the house. However, I have also looked into outdoor shooting around me. Now, I looked into gun clubs, the pit, etc. per other posts on this very board but I heard a weird rumor from someone at Dick's sporting goods that you may shoot target/plink on state owned land as long as it was not a hunting season. In one respect, that makes sense to me, in another, it doesn't. Does this sound right to anyone and if so, what state land? Some say that you can go to state owned land normally used for hunting and pop off rounds all day long with no problems as long as you do so safely, others say that it is restricted to gun ranges. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks! Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
