Good production gun. Middle of the road hobby shooter and defense gun.

It's in the guide in my signature.

It's a great option in its price range.

Great 1911 for the money. Asking to compare it to the other 1911s would be a lengthy process. Bac has made it easier with his guide.

Reliable as my Colt Gold Cup, though not as nice looking and not quite as accurate. As reliable as my Remington-Rand, but much better looking, more accurate and feeds HP's reliably. As reliable as my PT1911, but much better looking and more accurate(but not much) and far more reliable than the Kimber I had, and as good looking.

The SR1911, as has been said before, is a very good pistol. It isn't a Les Baer, but it works, it is accurate, and I can afford it.

I have 2 Colt 1911's ( a series 80 Officer 45acp and a series 70 Government) both have had custom work done to them and I recently bought a Ruger SR 1911 and so far I'm very impressed with it, I use it for my IDPA gun( wished the front strap was checkered)
