Anyone hunt spring snow geese in MN? If so, what part of MN do you hunt? My duck hunting buddies and I are thinking about trying some snow goose hunting this year. We live in WI, where there is no spring season. We checked out the regs in several states, and MN seems to have some good regs (like a non-res license is only $3.50), and it's closer to home than the other states that have spring seasons. But being newbies to this, we're at a loss as to where the hunting is best.... west, east, north, south? When's the best time to hunt? The season runs from March 1st thru Apr 30th, but we'll be hunting turkeys at home after mid April. There'd probably be 4 of us, all been hunting since we were kids, and now are all above the age of 50. We're thinking about a 4-5 day trip.... 2 days travel to and from, and hunt 2 or 3 days.

Just lookin for any info you might have.

  2. My advice would be to keep going west and check out South Dakota. Its not that much farther.
