On TV that is. Agent Rossi on Criminal Minds carries a springer professional around. Its as if the world knows I want one and keeps taunting me with it. Life is going to get more expensive one of these days...

  2. If you are anything like me you might as well buy one because you won't be happy until you do.
It will be on your mind and "call out to you" until you do.
Not like it's not an excellent gun that you couldn't sell if you had to.
    Didn't that help?

Amen brother. When I decided I wanted my first 1911 I knew it was going to be either a SA Pro or a Volkmann Custom. I contacted SA and was quoted a 15 month wait for the Pro. I then spoke to Luke Volkmann and he quoted me a much more reasonable 7 month wait. I placed the order with Volkmann for a Combat Custom, and shortly thereafter I saw that SGCUSA had 3 brand new Pros in stock. I'd go back just about every day until they had one left in stock, and I pulled the trigger. I'm still getting the Volkmann of course, but when I held that Pro in my hands for the first time, I finally understood how brand new fathers felt the first time they hold their newborn baby. :p Find one somewhere, purchase it, and shoot the hell out of it. You won't be disappointed. Good luck.

Earlier this year I was on the hunt for a Black Stainless Loaded. Went to various stores and gun shows. Found a TRP at one and a Professional at another.

I really wanted to throw caution to the wind, but I didn't. Still upgraded to the TRP when I did buy though.

Yup if/when i get something through Springer's custom shop the TGO will be it. The only thing that i dont care for are the grips. Not even that Leathem's name is written, but i am not a huge fan of smooth grips but of course those can easily be changed.

I just have the Leather grips on, but use full checkered grips.
