    I'll go ahead and say it. I'm not a stippling fan.

    That said, I am a GLOCK purist. I DO understand how much it can improve a grip and granted, some of the jobs I've seen look pretty nice.

    Let's see some bad ones.

    I don't have a pic, but I need to know: is the first "i" in stippling a short or long i? The way it's spelled, it should be short, but that sure does sound funny to me.

    I believe it's a short i sound, because of the two p's.

    Like "sipping", or "flipping".

    I think stippling or texturing being good or bad is different with everyone. I like to use a texture that looks like what the factory might use. IMO it looks good, and provides an excellent grip. Some folks may not like my pattern. On the same note, there are some patterns I don't like but other folks do. It is relative to what someone likes, much like people prefer different colors.

    FWIW here is what IMO is a bad texturing job. It was done with epoxy and I was sent this one and then a G20 done the same way. I repaired both of them and in my eyes, and the customers they look and feel much better.

    This picture is to show why I DON"T apply texturing with epoxy. After a while the epoxy will usually start to chip off on it's own.

    Every picture I've seen of a stippled Glock was a bad job. I hate stippling.

    I realize this is an old thread but on a local site I saw a stippling job professionally done and I just think it's horrific. I came here and did a search and this is the thread that came up so I figured I'd post the pic. I didn't even know people did this. It just seems like it would totally ruin resale value, I know I wouldn't buy it though.

    Does anyone else remember the guy who carved up two 19s (iirc) while naked? He made one specifically for each hand. That was a crazy thread!

    I have always liked the standard gen 3 grip and texture. I won't be getting any stippling done, but if I did, it would go straight to Cold Bore Customs.
    He does an excellent job of making it look almost factory. Some companies, like Robar, do a terrible job with bedliner and charge a fortune.

    That is not a professional job anymore than using housing Spackle putty to repair car dents is a professional job, and yes it does make the gun almost worthless.

    Yes people around here repair car dents with Spackle putty instead of Bondo.
