In your opinion, is the increased price for a DD XV M4 over a Spikes AR worth it?

I'm not flaming DD, either. I had a DD XVEZ briefly that I was very impressed with. I also dig the fact that it was made in Georgia.

I would say the DDM4 is much better, but I'm a little biased.

Those two brands should not be mentioned in the same sentence in comparison. Get a DD and don't look back.

It's not just about the better quality DD has to offer. Look at the value in the things they offer standard like their rails, sights, and barrels.

Spikes doesn't make bad guns, but they are not in the same league as DD. I have both and each has their own purpose. You can take a DD out of the box, slap optics on it, and have a world class rifle. ...the Spikes will take some tinkering/upgrading. The resale value of DD will also be much better.

Depends on which model you're looking at, the price difference, and what it's for. Personally, I prefer DD as I have two of them and they've been perfect so far. I'll be picking up one of their V7s before the summer.

I own two DDs so you can imagine where my vote goes. Looking at a V7 for a third.

Ouch! Cracked stock, too! How did you spot the cracked grip but not the cracked stock? :whistling:

Is the XV EZ with the factory rails worth the extra $ over the DD M4? It's $1066 or so for the EZ and $940 or so for the M4.

ETA: Nevermind, I'm going with the EZ with the rail.
