Sorry I haven't been on here much! It was a long, slow duck season! We made the most of it though and had some pretty good hunts and a few not so good ones! Buck (my lab) seemed to enjoy it and I enjoyed it as well! Enough with the blah-blah...here are some pictures!

2nd to last hunt of the year for me, I have some problems with my neck right now and the nerves in my right arm so this was the closing "real" hunt, I took the dog out the last evening of the season but didn't pull the trigger. 13 limits this particular morning, good way to end out the season!

Thanks guys, the lab and the doberman have claimed their spots on the bed already! They are two of the best dogs a man could ask for. The doberman also tracks/retrieves deer. I only shot one deer with my bow this year and it wasnt a tracking job so he didn't get to play too much this year. I will have to see if I have any pictures of him dragging a 140 lb doe around the yard or not. I think my buddy took some pictures of it. The lab hunted with me all but 4 mornings this year and hunted with 50+ different folks this year. I guided duck hunts for a high $$ lodge and he only lost 2 birds this year that were my fault, not his. Definitely earned his keep this year and will get spoiled the next year for it!

    Chevy,

Hey man. I was just foolin around here for a sec and thought I'd throw in a pic or two of my 5 year old chocolate lab Buddy. I don't have the huntin pics yet, but he has proven to be a real champion in every way for us. But as i said, was foolin around here a second and thought I'd throw a couple in...

    Good hunting man.

What a handsome dog! Two of the guides I work with have "Buddy" dogs, one we call buddy (Aka buddy love) and the other one we call "Two" since his name is buddy two..My lab buck is 5 years old too, he'll be 6 in August.

Thank you amigo.. I like him ;)

Yep. The "Buddy name' is not a highly original one. LOL
When I brought him home at 6 weeks old I was going to call him Hoss (since I say that all the time any way to every one it seems). My wife said, "well since you have had him home you keep saying Buddy this and Buddy that..."

She was right. Thus Buddy ! My brother has a black lab named "Duke."
The kids (grown ones), keep telling us hoe very 'original' these names are... In a very sarcastic way. LOL

    Thanks again Chevy.

Again amigo. Great pics of yours and the hunts, and dogs.

    Stay safe !

Well we have two bucks at the lodge too haha...We have Buddy, Buddy Two, Buck (mine), Buck (Thad's), Jack(usually add ass to the end), and poncho. Buck is far from original when it comes to a hunting dogs name haha so don't feel too bad. I do usually call mine buckwheat when around the house though..

    LOL

    Thats great, very funny.

I reserve Buck, for the horse ! ha. There is no way to have horses, and not have a "buck" in the bunch, or amigo, or a dan......

    Buckwheat... LOL

Man, the beauty of it all my friend, is none of our beloved animals give a rats behind what we call them... Just as long as we do keep on calling them ! They love us as much or more as we do them. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy life !
