I've owned both, and I think you get more for your money with Stag. They do a better job of staking carrier keys and castle nuts, and chrome line all of their barrels except those on their target models. Rock River isn't bad, but Stag is at least as good (I'd argue better) and generally a little cheaper.

Of the two you mentioned, I would go with the Stag also.

Don't know the difference in price, but Bravo still has a
sale going on with their uppers and they have the 16''
mid-length uppers for $425.00 in stock.
I can't say enough about BCM, I'd go the little extra for
one of theirs. You did not ask, just my thoughts.

As already mentioned previously, of the two you listed I would go stag, but I will also recommend BCM over both.

Stag out of the two, unless RRA has a 10mm upper. In which case, it automatically trumps all.

Why you are going to do this when everyone has given you the (good) advice to look into BCM?

This is not to flame you, but to understand why you are stuck on just Stag or RRA. If you have a killer discount or gift card, but if not you get a much better upper for the money on a BCM.

I was in the same boat and went with the stag as well after looking at the BCM uppers. If I am not mistaken the last time I looked BCM sold their BCG seperately and the cost might be an issues.
