Thinking of purchasing another Glock in the near future to keep my 19 Company can't decide between 26 or 30 choosing a subcompact for obvious reason CCW. The 26 would be nice because they could share ammo. However, the 30 would be good because of variety. just can't decide!! Halp!

The solution is very simple. Get them both!

I'm looking at a G30s for this summer after everyone finds out there will be no bans and the dust settles.

I can help you gather more info about the Glock 30 features and options. Check the link in my signature line below for everything you ever wanted to know about the G30, but were afraid to ask. Regarding the choice between the G26 and G30, good luck to you.

That's a tough one. Personally, I have a G30 and love it. But .45 ammo is more expensive than 9mm.

The 26 would let let you shoot the same ammo as your 19. Bottom line: they're both great guns. Tough choice.

I suggest you make a decision and stop asking random people how to spend your money. Asking for personal experiences with a product is valid with a grain of salt but asking "WHAT SHOULD IT DO WITH MY MONEY?" Results in useless answers that are not applicable to your situation.

Since you already have a 19, which is probably one of the finest carry weapons in the universe, you should go the other direction and look into a G34. Same caliber but now you have the option of using the 17-round mags for the 34 in your 19. I've recently picked up a Gen 4 G34 and it has rocketed right up to the top of the list of my favorite guns.

No decision is necessary if you buy all Glock models.
Collect the entire set, just as you would for anything else.

That's what I'm trying to do.

    Tough choice, IMO.
The 26 is considerably easier to conceal, but there is something to be said about 10+1 rds of 45 ACP in hand.
    I know-get both!!

I did the same thing, in 08 starting threads and asking questions about what Glock to get. I did the same thing in 09 when wanting a sub. it worked out very well for me cause I have two Glocks that I couldn't be happier with and I would never sell either one. most of the info from people that had older join dates and many posts were spot on but don't dismiss others.
I did the same things with holsters and everyone I have works for me. I had a couple that I had sold that didn't but I don't have a holster box full of unusable holsters.
So keep asking and stay focused on what you are going to use it for.

Glock 26, you can share mags and ammo.

For practicality I'd get the 26 (share ammo and mags). After things cool down and you still want another pistol then you can go after the 30.

I have a 26, 19 and 30 and of all of them the 26 is my best shooter.

Glock 26. More than a few report shooting it better than the bigger Glock 9mm versions.

At this time Glocks are short on supply and long on demand. If you find either I'd buy it.

I would go with the G30. Now that ammo is hard to find its good to have two different. If you can't find one, you might be able to find the other.
