So did anyone get invited to the riot?

Just as I was leaving my PD got the word to send people to Oaktown. A local agency (ateamer's) has been called up too. I have enacted personal contingency plans.

Prayers, fingers crossed, positive waves sent.

  2. Quote from the article:

"The concept is easy: everyone needs to share."

There it is. The underlying theme behind it all. And the po-lice are allowing them to control who enters and leaves the PORT?

This will not end well. I think it's just a matter of time before we see plenty of rioting. UNLESS someone cleans this mess up.

My hat goes off to you folks in Cali who fight the good fight.

I just got a call telling me that I am on stand by to stand by. I might get called in to backfill regular patrol shifts. I guess some of our guys are getting shipped out.

My favorite part of that article:

Oakland City Council President Larry Reid took was not pleased with the destruction.

"Look at Whole Foods. Look at Bank of America and the Kaiser Center. Look at Chase Bank. It's not even dark yet." Asked if he thinks the city can control the vandalism, Reid sighed, and said simply, "No."

I guess they shouldn't have laid off those cops in favor of keeping the milk from the governement teat flowing.

Rubber bullets, along with bats; and water cannons.

Kind of makes me wish I was still in the NG.:whistling:

It is nothing short of insurrection, and an attempt to overthrow the lawful government and our American way of life.
  7. Rubber bullets? I think not. Ain't nothin' like da real thing.

Just wait until we start getting closer to November 2012.

Heck, when I took riot control training with my National Guard portion of my basic training we were not even taught about rubber bullets. But, we were taught designated marksman or sharpshooter; along with chemical agents discipline; bats and hats and what have you. Personally I like those nice sting ball grenades, and multiple flash. Might as well have a little fun if I am in one.:whistling:

I think as the ol' saying goes, we are living in interesting times, and it will get more interesting before it settles down.

Oh, and those heat gizmos that science has developed would be great.

I'd suggest 77gr SMK's, with aluminum bats, and cannons squirting an unholy mixture of napalm and liquid fox labs instead :50cal:

Good luck guys. Pack some overnight bags now while you got some time. I like my bottle water, pepsi, energy bars, and must have the tooth brush & tooth paste. Just getting a chance to wash your face and brush your teeth can re-energize you a bunch.

Exactly what I've been saying is coming for months now. It's beginning, will happen more and more often...and it's about time.
  14. I could comment on that crap but I won't side track the thread.

Be safe out there guys, I hope it ends soon.

    Circling the wagons.
Honestly, who would have thought that Oakland would fall to a bunch of white kids that are mad they can't afford new iPhones?

    I'll go.
