So.. after you submit your form 4, how long is the typical wait?

I recently purchased an SBR, and it arrived at my class 3 dealer this week. Trust paperwork has been done and the dealer has sent off the form 4 along with my check. I asked him how long typical waits were, and he said 3-3.5 months... damn, I was hoping I'd have this thing home by christmas :(

So, is that figure accurate? 3-3.5 months?
If it is, there is a short barrel shotgun on sale for cheap at the same shop I got the SBR from that I am considering just going ahead and pulling the trigger on since it will be nearly 4 months before I get these things, and thats well more than long enough to recoup costs.

3-4 months average. There are outliers as short as a few weeks to over a year.
