Anyone else stranded from the snow?? Got about 6-12 feet in the street in mchenry

  2. In Orland Park, we only had about 14 - 16 inches of show but the drifts were at least five feet high. My John Deere tractor with chains installed still had one hell of a hard time getting through some of them. The biggest problem was where to put the snow.

I was stranded downtown in the Loop in a hotel. Now, the main roads aren't so bad here in Chicago but on the sidestreets, well, let me just say I can only the the very top of the roof of my car. Still don't know how I'm ever gonna get it out. The drifts on the side roads are easily five feet tall.

Were still not plowed, the joy of living In the middle of nowhere. I cleared the driveway but my truck on 31" tires is no match to the drifts on the street.

Wish I still had my jeep that sat on 38.5" super swamper boggers.

We had 15-16 in the southwest suburbs. My new truck cut through it perfectly.
