Yeah, I don't care much for them, to be honest.

Everyone feels the need to have a bobbed 1911 these days.

does it really help that much? I couldn't imagine, but I've also never handled one.

I have a Super Carry Pro and I really like the way the bobtail feels.

I personally LOVE the bobtail. Feels great in my hand and prints WAY less. Strapped on my Pro Carry 2 in a VM2 and had major printing issues. The bobtail on my Kobra Carry will make it disappear.

I've never had a problem concealing a 1911, but I still want to handle one see what all the hype is about.

Hmmmm, maybe if I stopped dressing like my hero, I'd conceal better. :dunno:

If that's what you want, go for it! Personally, I think its one of the ugliest 1911's I've ever seen and surpassed only by some of Kimber's offerings.

I like bobtails and, yes, they do help concealability without that sharp corner to print.

I like the way it looks. Should be a really nice take on a lightweight commander.

I like that gun also and it was made for carrying. My hand loves bobtails. I could do without the FCS, but I like the grips and the RCS don't look bad. Looks like S&W revamped much of their line for the better IMHO. Series 70, Melonite finish, improved trigger, recessed and crowned barrel, further extended/lowered external ejector. If you can get one for around 1K I say go for it. Remember you also get a lifetime warranty and free shipping through S&W.
