  2. Can you show me what one looks like and where to pick em up please? Thanks!

  3. I linked them up in post 14.

  4. Do the hook covers cover the ring and plate as well, or just the hook?

The ring and plate (on the issue slings, not sure about the aftermarket) are as much or more of a noise/finish wear source, and if they arent covered, you still have the problem.

  5. Amen. No need to disgrace a Kalashnikov.

  6. Here's a pic for you:

  7. HWI, thanks for the pic.

Makes a world of difference to have a size reference.

They do look like they would work quite well.

  8. NP.
I should add that that set up is using a mash hook and the cover is really tight, so it should work on smaller hooks as well.

  9. Running a Magpul MS3. Like option of having single or two point.

  10. Тrue, I just pointed to general direction. For example, Target carries the smaller tubes for road bikes, I just couldn't find it online to link it here...
That's why I like MS3 - the hooks are plastic and does not make much noise... :wavey:

  11. Thank you so much. The sling I have is green but it's nice and long. Knowwhere I could score a long one in black? Thanks again!

  12. Does the MS3 use different hooks than the MS2? I used to use an MS2 with my AR and tried it on my AK and found out that the front hook would not properly attach to the front sling loop on the AK.

  13. Yes, they are different than MS2. I did like MS2 because of the bigger radius of the ring the hook would grab, but friend of mine with AK ( I didn't have mine yet) found them to be noisy.
I like the MS3 better than MS2. The sling that it is on my picture was originally on my shotgun, but I took it off to see how will fit on the AK and I love it...
It is too late to take pictures, but if you look at the last video from my previous post, the guy shows the two slings side by side, here is some pictures that I found in Internet:

    MS3:

I like it... It's little bit on the expensive site, but I think works very well as two or single point sling, it is quick to operate and very strong. MS2 is also excellent sling if you can find it cheaper, they don't make them anymore and I think most of the volume is sold out...

I use a single point Winchester hooked on the retainer mount with the help of a zip tie.

I've decided to stay 100% Bulgarian with my Arsenal SLR-106U.
So I'm running the issue sling that came with the gun.

Don't mean to hijack, but I was gonna ask how people are attaching their VCAS to their AKs?
