I received my Kobra Carry in March of 2009 so I have had it 3 years now. I did the first detail strip today. I have of course field stripped it and cleaned it but never felt the need to detail strip it until today. I have no real ideal how many rounds I have thru it but roughly 2000 I would guess.

Where's Waldo, there is something missing...

Excuse the dirty old shop towel :embarassed:

The only really "dirty" part was the extractor channel in the slide. The wear is very minimal on all the internals, of course after only 2000 rounds that is to be expected. The fit and finish is of course very nice, Brown made be a jerk  but he can build a 1911 nice and well fitted.

Everything was cleaned, lubed, greased and put back together.

Saw Wrath Of The Titans today, had a burger and onion rings and cleaned a 1911. Not a bad use of a Sunday afternoon. :wavey:

Very nice looking pistol! It's a good feeling doing a detail strip and not having any parts leftover, better feeling when it fires live rounds reliably.
