Been posting here for a bit, thought I should share one of my 1911's! This is my newest, still needs some flush cut grips (VZ's?)

Good gun! I had a Custom for over 2 years, but traded it off when a guy wanted to trade straight up for a NIB SA TRP AK LOL.
Ultimately it served its purpose for me. It was accurate and reliable with any mag besides the kimpro( THROW IT IN THE GARBAGE!). The cocking serrations did not prove to be slick for me. The sights were awesome and offer a great sight picture.
The slide to frame fit was not very good and had a lot of side to side play in it, i have 2ce as many rounds through the TRP as i did my SIS and it still feels rock solid with a cocked hammer. This isnt that important though and could be an easy fix for some $. You got a great gun! Enjoy

The SIS serrations haven't been a problem for me either (Although I thought they might after all the bad posts about them). I have about 600 rounds through it, only issue was the extractor had too much tension from the factory. After taking some tension out, it has been g 2 g.

Congrats on the new Kimber. How many 1911's do you own?

This one only makes #4 for me. I switched to the 1911 for duty two years ago when we got the authorization for them. I originally had no intention to buy more than one, but here I am on #4, and planning for #5!

I have never gotten around to buying one, but always wanted one. Now that they are discontinued, I doubt I'll get to it before the market dries up.

    Congrats, though!

nice kimber. i just picked one up as well without the rail. my initials are S.S. so for me the serrations don't stand for SIS, but S/S. perception is reality.

    Usually a day late...
I've always liked the SIS Kimbers ...
I don't have an adversion to the serations like a lot of guys seem to have..
    They are Unique ....
Have fun and congrats.... The SIS is on my " gotta-get-me one" list..
