I was wondering does anyone else get a since of history when they pick up or shoot there 1911? I know ever time I take it out to shoot it or clean it. I get this feeling I am really picking up a piece of history. The designs been around since 1911 has seen major wars and it has helped shape this country. I think that's one reason I like 1911's so much is there really is a lot of history behind them. I even remember as a kid going I am gonna own one of them some day. Does anyone else get that vibe sure some of you do.

I only get that SENSE of history if what I pick up is a M1911 or a M1911A1.

Get one of those railed mounted bayonets and you can take down like 16-17 gang thugs instead of just 14-15 with that bad boy :tongueout:

Course with a 1911 you can use it to pistol whip you way to victory on guy 9-17 after you run the 1911 dry......ever try pistol whipping a gang thug with a plastic gun? Just pisses them off, you need a steel gun for real pistol whipping! :wavey:
